Loud As Hell Open Air XIV

Loud As Hell Open Air XIV

Prehistoric Fury in the Heart of the Badlands

Welcome to the 14th edition of Canada’s ultimate heavy metal pilgrimage! From July 30 to August 2, 2026, the rugged sandstone canyons and wind-carved hoodoos of Drumheller, Alberta, will once again erupt with the sound of over 40 elite international and Canadian metal acts. Nestled within the Dinosaur Downs Stampede Grounds, Loud As Hell (LAHOA) is more than a festival — it’s a community-driven celebration of extremity, featuring non-stop mosh pits, freak shows, burlesque, and the legendary free pancake breakfasts.

The 2026 Headliner Trifecta

This year, we have curated a lineup that defines the cutting edge of technical and melodic death metal.

Friday Night: Summoning The Lich (St. Louis, MO) The descent begins with a headline set from the masters of fantasy-driven tech-death. Touring in support of their sophomore epic, Under The Reviled Throne, the Lich brings a cinematic “death metal Empire Strikes Back” energy to the stage. Prepare for a streamlined, high-stakes narrative of tyranny and resistance that will set the tone for the weekend.

Saturday Night: Allegaeon (Fort Collins, CO) The “Melotech” titans return! Saturday night belongs to Allegaeon, a band that has spent nearly two decades perfecting the blend of symphonic grandeur, classical guitar technicality, and crushing progressive riffs. Expect a mind-bending performance featuring tracks from their 2025 release, The Ossuary Lens, delivered with their signature scientific precision and wit.

Sunday Night: Fallujah (San Francisco, CA) We close the festival with the breathtaking atmospheric power of Fallujah. Celebrating nearly 20 years at the forefront of the genre, their Sunday night finale will showcase the “all killer, no filler” intensity of their latest era. With a lineup of technical virtuosos, Fallujah will leave the Badlands in a state of “Empyrean” bliss, marking the perfect end to our loudest year yet.

The Full Sonic Assault

Beyond our headliners, the weekend is packed with talent ranging from local Alberta favorites to international heavyweights.

The Kick-Off: Thursday night at Neighbours’ Corner Pub features local legends Art Of Attrition and Fall Of Earth to get the blood pumping.

The Mid-Day Mayhem: Don’t miss rising stars like Iron Kingdom, Starkill, Death Toll Rising (first show in 10 years!), and the eccentric Hog Meets Frog (all the way from Austria!).

The Entertainment: Between sets, witness the dark artistry of Hazzardous Materials Burlesque and the spine-tingling antics of the Circus Of Hell-Freak Show.
